Fix Time Machine Error 109 to Safely Backup MAC Files

Time Machine is amazing utility present in MAC based computers which helps you to get back your lost data in the critical situations of data loss. This can be made possible by maintaining time to time backup of your data which can be done using Time Machine. This great utility is available in MAC OS 10.5 Leopard onwards which automatically saves and create periodic backup of Mac files, applications, preferences, documents, photos, music and videos etc. If you are having this utility then you donít have to worry about MAC recovery. But what will happen if the utility itself gets damaged and stop working. At times it happens that Backup creation fails due to ďTime Machine Error 109Ē. In such situations you donít have any options other than MAC Data Recovery Software.

Consider a situation when you attempt to create new backup using time Machine after connecting hard drive to the old backup. But unfortunately backup fails and you receive below error message:

"Time Machine Could Not Complete Backup" - "The backup disk image '/Volumes/my_name_backup-1/my_name's mimi mac.sparsebundle" could not be accessed (error 109)"

Time Machine error 109 not only disrupts the backup creation but also makes the old backup inaccessible. As a result of this error message you are unable to access your saved data. It might be possible that you lost your essential files. This error appears when Time Machine gets corrupted or when you use incompatible series of Time Machine. Use of Airport Extreme Base Station for backup creation is also responsible for the appearance of error.

In order to fix Time Machine error 109 you need to use Time Machine Capsule as designated backup drive instead of Airport Extreme Base Station. Rename the Time Machine and donít use any spaces, special characters and punctuation etc. It might be possible that you have to reinstall the Time Machine if the error not fixed by above method. If still the error persists then the only option is to use MAC Data Recovery Software which will retrieve your inaccessible data. It is also capable to restore your missing or deleted data to the specified location.
